The ride up the 70 was steep

The van twisted and turned till it reached its destination

A desolate campground at twilight

The fee was 8 dollars though you forgot to pay it

Campers are settling in for the night

Tents are pitched

You start a fire

I untwist the fairy lights for the van

We sit

We smile

We share a kiss while watching the stars

We wake up to see the desert sunrise
