Art in #LosAngeles: Trifling Matter

Art. In Los Angeles. It’s everywhere. Saturday was the opening of Sara Sitkin: Trifling Matter @ Super Chief Gallery in DTLA.

I love the human body. That’s probably why I became a nurse. That’s probably what attracted me to this exhibit.

It reminded me of my set design for my production: Nurses and Hypochondriacs. It also reminded me of Knott’s Scary Farm.

Sara is a Los Angeles based artist whose art mediums consist of: silicon, resin, clay, latex, and plaster. The texture of her artwork was lifelike.

The artwork with the veins made me wish I had a needle so that I can practice my IV technique. Veins are like porn for nurses! They excite us!

The lips were soft. I’m talking about the oral ones!

And the gallery attendants were walking art pieces to be admired.

If you are in the DTLA area and like body parts like I do… The Sara Sitkin show @ Super Chief Gallery is a must!

Below is a picture of my set design for my storytelling production of : Nurses & Hypochondriacs Hollywood Fringe Fest 2015… See the body parts….

You gotta luv your friends that work @ prop houses! Only in Los Angeles! Cheers!
