Fluffy Japanese Soufflés Pancakes @Flippers in WEHO
Give me soft fluffy pancakes and I can get over anything

I’m sure you’ve seen them on TikTok or probably on someone’s foodie page on Instagram, but they are kinda hard to find. I mean I thought they were.

The Japanese Soufflé pancakes.
Those light fluffy and adorable Instagram foodie blog worthy pancakes. And no, they did not originate in Japan, but they are the brain child of chef Nathan Tran in Hawaii who didn’t like pancakes but loved soufflés.
After scrolling through various establishments on Google & asking my Japanese buddy for suggestions, my bruh and I decided to checkout “Flippers” in WEHO.
It’s all about the vibe

Flippers is smack dab in the middle of WEHO. It’s part of the ambiance to hear the table next to you talk about directing films and how production is going. It’s normal to see Gen Z living lavishly off of their TikTok fame.
And we were just there for the Japanese soufflé pancakes.

I ordered the Flippers pancake topped with fresh maple whipped cream w/ a side of poached eggs and a classic mimosa.
The pancakes were light, fluffy, and were definitely a cosmic experience. The maple cream on top itself fabulous.

My bruh went with the savory Japanese pancakes topped off eggs Benedict style.

Of course they come with a petite side of fries.
We toasted and said cheers over some lemony soju. We toasted to life in Los Angeles and how lucky we are to have been born and raised in one of the most fascinating cities in the world.

Flippers in WEHO is a must if you’re craving Japanese soufflé pancakes. it’s definitely food porn worthy.
